Citizens Bank CRE chief highlights $25 billion strategy amid macro stress

Jessica Rascionato leads Citizens Bank’s $25 billion national commercial real estate strategy, drawing on experience through the 2022 Investors Bancorp acquisition and the 2023 regional banking crisis.

Commercial Observer spoke with Jessica Rascionato, head of commercial real estate at Citizens Bank, where she leads the bank’s $25 billion national CRE strategy focused on capital flows and financial trends.

Rascionato has been a Citizens Bank executive for nearly a decade, helping guide the bank through events including its $3.3 billion acquisition of Investors Bancorp in 2022 and the 2023 regional banking crisis.

In the interview, she also pointed to today’s macroeconomic dislocation, citing higher tariffs, high interest rates, inflation, and the war with Iran as part of the evolving backdrop for the CRE market.
