Metaplanet plans up to 15% asset allocation to boost Bitcoin holdings

The company said it will use net interest income from income generating assets to support Bitcoin accumulation and dividend payments.

Metaplanet, a Japanese investment and Bitcoin treasury company, unveiled a revised capital allocation framework aimed at fueling its Bitcoin accumulation.

The company proposed allocating as much as 15% of total assets to strategic investments, including mergers and acquisitions and interest generating assets, while keeping Bitcoin as its core treasury reserve, accounting for 85% to 90% of its reserves.

Cointelegraph reports Metaplanet also introduced a net interest income strategy that invests capital in income generating assets and uses the net interest to support both Bitcoin accumulation and dividend payments.

The policy allows 10% to 15% of assets to move into strategic investments under its revised capital allocation approach.
