Nifty ends above 22,550 as buyers return after early selling
The index traded in a 224.7-point range on Monday, before recovering more than 150 points from the session lows.
India’s Nifty had a volatile session on Monday, trading within a 224.7-point range before ending higher above the 22,550 level, according to LiveMint Markets, citing Reuters.
The index opened strong, climbed to an intraday high of 22,621.8 in the first hour, then faced selling pressure that pushed it below 22,400. Buying interest later returned, helping the Nifty recover more than 150 points from the day’s lows.
Price action formed a high-wave-style candle with long upper and lower shadows, which the report described as a sign of indecision after a sustained decline. LiveMint Markets said the pattern suggests downside momentum may be easing, but it would still require follow-through buying in the next session.
The brief also flagged LG Electronics India as a stock to watch, noting it has broken out of its IPO base and is showing strong performance indicators.
