Ramaswamy’s Ohio campaign keeps crypto from taking center stage

Cointelegraph says Ohio Republican candidate Vivek Ramaswamy still has ties to the digital-asset world, including a stake in a digital asset manager and campaign donations from many in the industry.

The outlet notes that in his earlier presidential bid, Ramaswamy leaned heavily into crypto rhetoric, praising Bitcoin and token mining while taking a strong stance against central bank digital currencies.

Now running for governor, Cointelegraph reports that he is not making cryptocurrency a central campaign issue, even though he has not fully moved away from earlier digital-asset positions.

The story was published Oct. 5, 2026.
