Aurenity hires cyber and technology E&O executive to expand
The appointment signals Aurenity’s move beyond its prior casualty and property focus into the professional liability vertical.
Aurenity, a West Hartford-based tech-enabled excess and surplus managing general agent, appointed Brian Robb as executive vice president for cyber and technology.
The hire marks Aurenity’s entry into the professional liability vertical after four years focused on casualty and property programs, positioning the company to build a new cyber and tech errors and omissions business line.
Insurance Business reports Robb joins from Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance, where he served as senior vice president and head of cyber, technology errors and omissions, and miscellaneous professional liability underwriting in the US.
Before BHSI, he spent 11 years at CNA, including roles as product leader for cyber, media, miscellaneous professional liability, and technology E&O, and co-led the launch of CNA CyberPrep, a NIST-based pre-breach vendor panel for policyholders.
