Ethereum validator count falls to 863,000 as staked ETH rises

Ethereum’s number of validators has fallen to 863,000 while staked ETH has edged higher, according to The Defiant.

The outlet attributes the shift to Pectra, which it says allows operators to combine validator balances, cutting network overhead without requiring operators to withdraw their ETH.
