Hong Kong pledges a high-quality experience for Apec finance guests
Around 500 finance ministers and senior officials from 21 member economies are expected to attend the October 20 and 21 meeting in Wan Chai.
Hong Kong’s Chief Executive John Lee Ka-chiu said the city will provide a “high-quality” experience for delegates attending this month’s Apec Finance Ministers’ Meeting, as Hong Kong coordinates closely with Beijing on guest registration.
Lee said Hong Kong will keep in close communication with China’s Ministry of Finance to help delegations complete registration procedures ahead of the October 20 to 21 event.
The meeting is expected to host about 500 guests, including finance ministers and senior officials from Apec’s 21 member economies, and it will be held at the Convention and Exhibition Centre in Wan Chai.
Asked about whether US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent would attend, Lee said only that the mainland Ministry of Finance is handling attendee registration.
