Indian private lenders report Q2 business updates ahead of results season

Analysts cited deposit mobilization, credit expansion, and Reserve Bank of India FCNR(B) swap facility adaptations as key factors to watch after the Q2 updates.

Several Indian private-sector banks, including HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, Yes Bank, IDBI Bank, IndusInd Bank, and Kotak Mahindra Bank, have already released their second-quarter business updates ahead of announcing full Q2 FY27 financial results, LiveMint Markets reported.

Seema Srivastava, a senior research analyst at SMC Global Securities, said investors evaluating banking stocks after the Q2 FY27 updates should focus on deposit mobilization, credit expansion, and structural adaptations such as the Reserve Bank of India’s FCNR(B) swap facility across major financial institutions.

Srivastava also noted that experts are assessing which banks may be worth considering ahead of the Q2 results season, with attention on metrics coming out of the business update cycle.

In one cited example from the updates, the bank reported period-end deposits growth of 18.8% year-on-year to ₹ 33,275 billion and gross advances growth of 16.3% year-on-year, according to the article excerpt.
