International Gas Union summit to run in Hong Kong from Oct. 26 to 29

The event in Hong Kong is scheduled for Oct. 26 to 29, with the flagship summit held Oct. 29 at Hopewell Hotel.

SCMP Economy says the International Gas Union (IGU) Council 2026 and the “Empowering a Sustainable Future” Summit will take place in Hong Kong from 26 to 29 October.

The IGU Council meeting is expected to draw around 70 international delegates, while the flagship summit is set to convene approximately 500 government officials, energy business executives, academics, and industry experts for panel discussions.

The summit on 29 October at Hopewell Hotel will focus on four themes, including Asia Pacific as a driver for natural gas market development and finance as a driver for strengthening support for energy development.

The event is hosted by The Hong Kong and China Gas Company Limited, Towngas, according to the outlet.
