John Lee urges Hong Kong residents to watch Legco debate on five-year plan

The Legislative Council debate on the city’s inaugural five-year plan and latest policy address is scheduled to run from Wednesday through Friday.

Hong Kong Chief Executive John Lee Ka-chiu urged residents to pay close attention to an upcoming three-day Legislative Council debate covering the city’s inaugural five-year plan and its latest policy address, according to SCMP Economy.

Lee said he expects government officials and lawmakers to hold an in-depth discussion on the plan’s concept and details during the sessions.

He added that government participation will be led by Chief Secretary Eric Chan Kwok-ki, as the debate is set to begin Wednesday morning and continue until Friday, per the Legislative Council agenda.
