US dollar holds gains as investors await Eurozone and US data
The US dollar was resilient versus major peers early Tuesday, with the USD Index remaining in positive territory after modest gains on Monday, according to FXStreet.
Later in the session, Eurostat is set to release Eurozone retail sales for August, while the US and Canada trade balance data are also scheduled for the economic calendar.
Market attention will also stay on remarks from European Central Bank and Federal Reserve policymakers, and FXStreet noted that the benchmark 10-year US Treasury yield edged higher on Monday to support the dollar.
FXStreet also pointed to a slight improvement in risk sentiment, which could temper dollar strength during the session.
