Jaguar unveils all-electric Type 01 with up to 320-mile range
The all-electric four-door Grand Tourer is designed to hit 0 to 62 mph in 3.2 seconds, after JLR invested billions reinventing Jaguar.
BBC Business reports Jaguar Land Rover has unveiled its first all-electric model under the relaunched Jaguar brand, the Type 01, in New York.
The Type 01 is an all-electric four-door Grand Tourer with electric motors rated at about 1000 horsepower, and JLR says it can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 3.2 seconds.
JLR also says the vehicle has a range of up to 320 miles at sustained highway speed.
BBC Business notes JLR relaunched Jaguar about two years ago amid controversy, and the new electric model is part of a broader reinvention effort that the company has funded with billions.
