Breez says AI coding agents boosted bitcoin payment integrations 14-fold

Breez tied the jump to Anthropic’s Claude Code, which became generally available in May 2025 after a February 2025 research preview.

Bitcoin software company Breez said demand for its developer tools has accelerated since AI coding agents became widely used, driving a large increase in requests to add bitcoin payments to apps.

According to Breez, partnership inquiries rose roughly 14-fold, with interest coming not only from developers outside crypto but also from the AI agents themselves.

The company linked the surge to Anthropic’s Claude Code, saying it launched as a research preview in February 2025 and reached general availability three months later.

Breez also said that before 2025, most prospective partners typically fell into three groups, including bitcoin enthusiasts, crypto developers, and fintech firms that treat bitcoin as an asset class.
