Dollar strengthens as long-end Treasury yields push higher
The outlet said 10-year Treasury yields rose to above 5.34% and 30-year yields remained near multi-decade highs above 5.70%, keeping pressure on risk assets.
Forexlive reported that in European morning trade, pressure in the bond market was weighing on risk sentiment while strengthening the dollar.
The outlet said long-end Treasury yields continued to climb, with 10-year yields rising further to above 5.34% after a brief decline in late US trading and 30-year yields staying near multi-decade highs above 5.70%.
Forexlive added that the move reflected concerns including the US fiscal outlook and inflation uncertainty, which it said had investors demanding a higher premium for long-term Treasuries.
In Europe, it noted that bond stress was also evident, with 10-year French yields surging to 4.94% and 10-year German yields edging up to 3.52%.
