Melwani and James named co-heads for IAP’s UK and Europe
Insurance Advisory Partners said the new co-heads will lead the firm’s UK and European operations from its London office.
Insurance Advisory Partners, a boutique investment banking firm focused on the insurance sector, appointed Rinki Melwani and Benjamin James as co-heads of its UK and Europe business. The pair will be based in IAP’s London office and will report jointly to Tony Ursano, the firm’s founder, managing partner and chief executive officer.
Their remit includes leading IAP’s UK and European operations and working with the firm’s global leadership team and clients across the region to support continued business growth, according to the firm.
Reinsurance News also said Melwani and James have been involved in IAP’s growth since joining, serving as advisers to clients across the global insurance sector on strategic, M&A and capital-raising transactions.
The outlet noted that Melwani’s prior experience includes work at global investment banks such as J.P. Morgan, Citi, Credit Suisse and Jefferies, delivering insurance and insurtech transactions, while James has held roles in investment banking and principal investment, including at Fenchurch Advisory Partners and Financial Services Capital.
