Milliman launches AI Solutions unit for insurers and healthcare clients

Milliman, Inc., a global actuarial and consulting firm, has launched Milliman AI Solutions, a dedicated practice that works alongside its insurance, healthcare, and employee benefits teams to deliver AI-powered solutions, according to Reinsurance News.

The firm said the unit is intended to keep AI deployments anchored in domain expertise and aligned with clients’ broader strategic and regulatory environments, serving insurers, healthcare organizations, and financial institutions.

Milliman AI Solutions is built on the company’s existing data science capabilities and is positioned to provide governance, risk quantification, and business advisory, including helping clients distinguish strategic opportunities from AI hype.

Initially, the unit will focus on areas such as accelerated claims review, healthcare inflation sentiment tracking, automated regulatory compliance reporting, enterprise internal governance, and monitoring and controls.
