Polymarket protocol upgrade leaves existing bets on older CTF contracts

Polymarket said it will run live canary markets from Oct. 5 through Oct. 30, with Nov. 2 described as a tentative switch for newly created markets.

Polymarket’s Protocol V2 rollout will not automatically move existing bets created under its older Conditional Tokens Framework, or CTF, onto new contracts, according to CryptoSlate.

The platform’s migration guidance directs trading integrations to keep support for older CTF holdings while adding a separate system for V2 positions and new trading permissions.

CryptoSlate reports that Polymarket planned live test markets, known as canary markets, from Oct. 5 through Oct. 30, and characterized Nov. 2 as a tentative switch for newly created markets rather than a conversion deadline for all existing bets.

For app or website users, Polymarket said no technical migration is required, though users should complete any approval prompts shown in the interface, and it noted a separate mechanism exists to move CTF positions into V2.
