Six midcap stocks seen set for possible large-cap upgrade in AMFI

Nuvama estimates the large-cap cut-off at about ₹ 1.11 trillion, up from ₹ 1.06 trillion in June 2026, ahead of AMFI’s H1 CY27 reclassification timeline.

Six midcap stocks, including Bosch, Siemens Energy India, Lodha Developers, Zydus Lifesciences, Lenskart Solutions and LG Electronics India, could move into India’s large-cap segment in AMFI’s H1 CY27 semi-annual reclassification, according to Nuvama Institutional Equities as cited by LiveMint Markets.

Nuvama’s preliminary projection is based on current average market-cap levels, and it frames the large-cap cut-off at around ₹ 1.11 trillion, compared with ₹ 1.06 trillion in June 2026.

The brokerage also estimates the mid-cap cut-off at roughly ₹ 365 billion, up from ₹ 336 billion in June, and notes that final classifications will depend on the stock rankings from Jul to Dec 2026.

LiveMint Markets also reports that the National Stock Exchange of India is listed as a potential new entry under the same AMFI reclassification.
