Vedanta declares first post-demerger interim dividend of ₹5 per share

The interim payout totals about ₹1,955 crore and sets October 14 as the record date.

Vedanta Limited announced its first interim dividend after its demerger in May, declaring ₹5 per equity share for financial year 2026-27, with a face value of Re 1 each.

The dividend amounts to about ₹1,955 crore, according to a BSE filing dated October 8, 2026, the day the board approved the payout.

The company set October 14 as the record date for the dividend. During Thursday trading, Vedanta shares were down nearly 2.1%, as overall market sentiment remained weak amid geopolitical tensions, macroeconomic uncertainty, and elevated bond yields, LiveMint Markets reported.
