Aptos launches Encrypted Mempool to reduce MEV frontrunning risk
Aptos said the optional feature, now live on mainnet, keeps pending transaction details encrypted until block ordering is finalized.
Aptos has launched an optional Encrypted Mempool feature on its mainnet aimed at reducing maximal extractable value, or MEV, attacks such as frontrunning and sandwich attacks, Cointelegraph reports.
The feature hides transaction details until their order is finalized, so bots that monitor pending trades have less information to exploit.
Aptos said users can opt in to the encrypted pending state, and it designed the tool for institutions sending large transactions to the chain, traders seeking to avoid MEV risk, and AI agents and builders, according to Cointelegraph.
