Howden appoints Elliot Richardson as Chief Commercial Officer
The role takes effect immediately, with Richardson reporting to CEO David Howden and overseeing Howden Markets and Group Placement.
Global insurance intermediary group Howden named Elliot Richardson as Chief Commercial Officer, effective immediately, and said he will report to CEO David Howden.
Richardson will join the Group Executive Committee while continuing to serve as Executive Chair of Howden Re, and the appointment supports Howden’s commercial strategy across broking, reinsurance, underwriting, and employee benefits capabilities.
The strategy priorities include deeper client collaboration and stronger carrier partnerships to improve client outcomes, including growth of facilities and new products to optimize client placements and deepen relationships.
Howden said Richardson will oversee Howden Markets and Group Placement, working with CFO Susan Panuccio and Group COO David Shalders, and that the strategy will rely on client and placement data insights using enhanced CRM and AI-powered data solutions.
