Interactive Brokers adds Ethereum staking for eligible clients via Zerohash
The brokerage says eligible clients keep at least 70% of staking rewards, and ETH withdrawals are subject to blockchain waiting periods.
Interactive Brokers has expanded its crypto services by adding Ethereum staking for eligible clients through its Client Portal, with zerohash providing the service, according to The Block. The broker said its first staking offering is limited to ETH at launch and that rewards are credited as additional staked ETH that can compound while the position remains staked.
The Defiant added that under the broker agreement, eligible clients keep at least 70% of staking rewards, while withdrawals are subject to network waiting periods. Interactive Brokers also framed the move as an extension of its approach to letting clients earn rewards on assets they already hold, The Block reported.
