LenderLogix integrates Jerry into mortgage platform for homeowners coverage
The integration lets borrowers shop for homeowners insurance from their dashboard after submitting a mortgage application, with policy updates handled automatically.
Mortgage software company LenderLogix announced an integration with digital insurance broker Jerry that is designed to help mortgage borrowers secure homeowners insurance after they submit a mortgage application.
According to the press release, the connection runs inside LenderLogix’s LiteSpeed point of sale platform, where borrowers can shop for homeowners insurance directly from their borrower dashboard.
LenderLogix said the integration is intended to move homeowners insurance earlier in the process, and it also aims to ensure any necessary policy updates are made automatically.
Patrick O’Brien, LenderLogix CEO, said homeowners insurance has historically been a late-stage requirement that can delay closing, while Neima Shahidy, vice president of Product Partnership at Jerry, said home insurance is increasingly part of affordability discussions and lenders need borrowers covered early.
