Super El Niño may ease Asia LNG demand, leaving more cargoes for Europe

OilPrice says warmer-than-usual winter conditions are expected to reduce gas supply needs for South Korea, Japan, and parts of China.

OilPrice reports that a super El Niño developing in the Pacific is forecast to lift winter temperatures across South Korea, Japan, and parts of China.

The outlet says the warmer conditions could ease gas supply needs for these key Asian LNG importers.

OilPrice adds that this could leave more LNG cargoes available for Europe, where gas storage sites are struggling to reach adequate levels for this time of year.
