Trezor cuts reseller network after Ledger drainage reports
The hardware wallet maker said it has reduced resellers tied to supply chain incidents, while reporting no evidence that its own devices were compromised.
Hardware wallet maker Trezor said it is checking which vendors it works with after reports of lost funds tied to Ledger models and related reseller activity. Bitcoin Magazine reports that Trezor also reduced the number of resellers it works with following supply chain incidents involving its competitor Ledger.
In a Tuesday post on X, Trezor said there were no reports of issues with Trezor devices. The company added that there is not a single piece of evidence that Trezor devices have been compromised.
Bitcoin Magazine also notes that Ledger began an investigation last week after customers in South East Asia reported losing funds after purchasing from a Malaysia-based reseller, CryptoBilis, and that the reports prompted Trezor to review its own vendor relationships.
