Trump defends Russian diesel exports amid energy ceasefire dispute
OilPrice reports that US President Donald Trump defended his decision to allow Russian diesel exports despite sharp criticism from officials in Ukraine, Europe, and even within his Republican party.
Speaking to reporters on October 12, Trump said he believes an energy ceasefire between Kyiv and Moscow is in place, even though neither side has confirmed it.
The outlet also notes the controversy centers on Trump’s insistence that the truce remains active despite the lack of confirmation from Ukraine or Russia.
