Amulet Specialty launches as a new multi-line MGA

MISSION-backed specialty managing general agent Amulet Specialty has launched with a multi-line underwriting portfolio spanning property risks plus casualty, liability, and business interruption, according to Reinsurance News.

The firm said it is combining specialist underwriting expertise with technology intended to reduce unnecessary administration so its team can focus on building broker relationships and serving clients.

Amulet is led by co-founders Paul Bennett, chief executive officer, and Jonathan Dermody, chief underwriting officer, with the company positioning long-term partnerships with brokers at the center of its approach.

MISSION CEO Ross Dingwall said Bennett brings more than four decades of experience in the UK insurance market, while Dermody joins Amulet from Talisman Specialty, where he previously served as underwriting director for the UK property and casualty offering.
