Dangote refinery boosts Europe fuel exports and cuts clean imports
The refinery’s run at full capacity has helped lift clean product exports to Europe to record levels, while regional imports of clean products fell nearly 25% year over year in the second quarter.
OilPrice reports that Dangote’s 700,000 b/d Lekki refinery has been operating at full capacity for the past two months, driving record product export levels to Europe.
The outlet adds that the refinery’s output has reshaped West African fuel trade, with imports of clean products from outside the region down nearly 25% year over year in the second quarter.
