Nirvana to buy assets of Ryan C&S Swedish unit in 2026
The deal is set to close in the second half of 2026, subject to regulatory approvals, with the business expected to continue under Arena’s name.
Specialty managing general agent Nirvana has signed a definitive agreement to acquire certain assets of Ryan C&S, a Swedish unit within Ryan Specialty’s Nordics operation, according to Reinsurance News.
The financial terms were not disclosed. The transaction is expected to close in the second half of 2026, subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions.
Ryan C&S provides coverage to public entities across Sweden, and the ongoing business will transfer to Nirvana as C&S is acquired by Nirvana’s Belgian subsidiary, Arena, with the operations expected to trade under the Arena name.
The companies said they do not plan changes to their teams as a result of the deal, and brokers and clients are expected to keep working with their usual underwriter contacts without service disruption. Reinsurance News also noted Howden Capital Markets & Advisory served as Ryan Specialty’s exclusive financial advisor.
