WTI falls toward $70 as Iran tensions fade

Bitcoin held near $63,000 and the Nasdaq rose more than 1.0% as oil prices and Treasury yields eased.

CoinDesk said markets cooled after the past 36 hours of U.S. and Iran concerns, with WTI crude sinking back toward the $70 per barrel level and U.S. government bond yields pulling back.

In U.S. trading, the Nasdaq was ahead by 1.25% near the close, led by outsized gains in AI-related stocks including Micron Technology, SanDisk, and AMD.

CoinDesk reported that bitcoin was trading just above $63,000, up 1.6% over the prior 24 hours, while ether was up 0.75% to $1,751.

The outlet added that crypto largely stabilized rather than surged during the session.
