PERILS trims Windstorm Goretti loss estimate to €468m

Catastrophe data provider PERILS has slightly lowered its insurance industry loss estimate for extratropical windstorm Goretti, also known as Elli, to €468 million, according to Reinsurance News and Artemis.

The storm affected southwestern England, northern France, and Belgium on Jan. 8 and 9, 2026, PERILS said.
