Meridian Title buys IN Title Company to expand in Indiana

The acquisition brings Meridian’s office footprint to 43 locations across Indiana and Michigan and boosts its workforce to more than 230 employees.

Meridian Title Corp. has acquired IN Title Company, expanding its Indiana presence and growing its office network to 43 locations across Indiana and Michigan, HousingWire reports.

Under the deal, IN Title Company will keep its existing team and local operations while gaining access to Meridian’s technology and broader title service offerings, including 1031 exchanges and multi-state title services.

IN Title Company serves Delaware and Henry counties, and it handles residential and commercial real estate transactions in its service area.

HousingWire also reports that the acquisition increases Meridian’s workforce to more than 230 employees, enabling IN Title Company to add services such as 1031 tax-free exchange transactions, tax sale property services, and title services in additional states including Michigan, Florida, Illinois, Kentucky, Minnesota, Missouri, Ohio, Tennessee, and Wisconsin.
