QBE names Queralt Vila Head of Distribution for Europe

QBE Insurance Group Limited has promoted Queralt Vila to Head of Distribution for Europe, effective August 1, 2026, to lead the unit and support regional growth, according to Reinsurance News.

In the role, Vila will report to Andrew Besant, QBE Chief Customer Officer, and will join both the Market Management Executive and QBE’s European Management Committee.

Based in Barcelona and with nearly four years serving QBE Europe, Vila previously headed Strategy and Transformation and helped shape the European growth agenda.

QBE said her remit will include aligning European distribution with growth priorities, with a focus on strengthening the company’s position in the corporate and mid market segments and supporting growth across several business lines.
