NTREIS brings compliance in-house and names Joey Bandemer VP
The change will replace a 13-association compliance model across NTREIS's 44-county service area, with a soft rollout planned for Q4 2026.
NTREIS has appointed Joey Bandemer as vice president of data governance and customer experience, as the North Texas MLS moves to centralize compliance management for its 44-county service area. The MLS said Bandemer will lead a new compliance and data governance function covering policy development, data licensing, customer experience standards, and the transition to direct compliance oversight.
According to HousingWire, the shift replaces an earlier model in which 13 shareholder associations shared compliance responsibilities. NTREIS plans a soft rollout of the centralized program in the fourth quarter of 2026.
HousingWire reported that Bandemer joins NTREIS from Bright MLS, where he served as director of compliance and policy. He previously worked at Florida Realtors as director of local association services, advising 51 local Realtor associations on MLS policy and governance, and began his MLS career at REcolorado.
The MLS said the appointment is part of a broader modernization effort under CEO Chris Carrillo, who took the helm in June 2025. HousingWire noted Carrillo said MLSs are being pushed to prove their value as private listing networks, changing data economics, and new technology ecosystems increase the need for stronger governance around listing data.
