ARS Pharmaceuticals names Donn Casale as new CEO
The leadership change follows ARS’s July 8 disclosure that co-founder and CEO Richard Lowenthal would stop being employed by the company effective July 6.
ARS Pharmaceuticals Inc. has appointed Donn Casale as its new chief executive officer and director, effective July 7.
According to Yahoo Finance, the company previously disclosed a CEO transition on July 8, saying that co-founder and CEO Richard Lowenthal would no longer be employed by ARS as of July 6.
Casale, ARS said, has more than 25 years of experience in biopharma and commercial leadership, including work as Chief Commercial Officer at Dynavax Technologies, where he helped scale annual revenues for HEPLISAV-B to more than $300 million and supported achieving more than 50% market share in the U.S. prior to Dynavax’s acquisition by Sanofi for $2.2 billion.
The company also highlighted ongoing payer access for neffy, an epinephrine nasal spray, noting based on feedback that no new coverage decisions or formulary inclusions were released during the July 1 cycle, while stating neffy remains widely available through direct coverage and a recently added retail cash option.
