Baker Hughes oil rig count rises to 452 in weekly data
The weekly report also showed total rigs up to 588, with crude holding around $81.30 after a move back above earlier this week’s high.
Forexlive reports that the weekly Baker Hughes oil rig count increased by 7 to 452. Gas rigs were unchanged at 126, while total rigs rose by 7 to 588.
Versus a year ago, oil rigs are up from 422 and gas rates are up from 117. The same update puts crude oil at about $81.30, up $2.36 on the day.
The report says crude’s high was $81.54 and the low was $77.93, with prices pushing back above an earlier this week high of $81.25. A next upside target is cited at $82.01.
