Power Integrations launches ultra-slim 15W and 35W reference designs for NVIDIA
The new designs, built on 1700 V PowiGaN technology, aim to cut board space and bill of materials by 30 percent while keeping at least 88 percent efficiency.
Power Integrations unveiled ultra-slim auxiliary power supply reference designs for NVIDIA’s Kyber 800 VDC AI data center architecture, with modules targeted at 15 W and 35 W power levels, according to Yahoo Finance.
The company said the designs use 1700 V-rated PowiGaN technology to reduce board space and bill of materials by 30 percent, while maintaining at least 88 percent efficiency.
Power Integrations also said the reference modules integrate InnoMux-2 ICs to support internal data center components such as gate drivers and MCUs.
The company added that the 1700 V single-HEMT GaN approach is intended to replace bulkier, discrete silicon carbide solutions and help streamline liquid-cooled blade-rack system designs for high-density AI infrastructure.
