Tishman Speyer hires Prologis executive to drive Middle East expansion
The appointment sets up an initial focus on acquisitions and development opportunities in the Middle East, while also expanding the firm’s presence in India.
Tishman Speyer, one of the largest US commercial real estate owners, said it hired Joseph Ghazal as senior managing director and head of global growth to help guide its expansion effort beyond its current footprint.
According to Bisnow, Ghazal will initially focus on identifying and executing acquisition and development opportunities in the Middle East, and expanding Tishman Speyer’s presence in India.
Ghazal previously spent more than 18 years at Prologis, most recently as chief investment officer, and Prologis entered the Middle East in July 2025 with a Dubai office.
Bisnow reports the strategy comes as parts of the region face pressure from the Israel-Palestine conflict and the war the US and Israel launched in Iran in February, with fallout including economic pain for hubs like Dubai and signals from investors that some global capital is shifting away from the Gulf.
