Micron signs automotive customer agreements with Qualcomm and others
The strategic customer agreements include Qualcomm, Visteon, Harman, Denso, Astemo, and Hyundai Mobis as connected and AI-enabled vehicles need more memory and storage.
Micron Technology said it has entered a series of strategic customer agreements aimed at expanding its footprint in the automotive technology market, with partnerships that reach across major automotive and technology players.
The agreements include Qualcomm, Visteon, Harman, JOYNEXT, Denso, Astemo, and Hyundai Mobis, according to the company.
Micron said the push reflects how increasingly connected and intelligent vehicles require more advanced memory and storage to support uses ranging from infotainment to AI-enabled features.
In comments carried by Yahoo Finance, Micron Chairman, President and CEO Sanjay Mehrotra said memory and storage will play an increasingly important role as next-generation automotive platforms evolve toward richer, safer, and more intelligent in-vehicle experiences.
