Aon expands data center insurance program capacity to $5 billion

The enhanced program adds higher limits for cyber and technology errors and omissions, up to $400 million.

Aon plc expanded its proprietary Data Center Lifecycle Insurance Program (DCLP), raising insurance capacity to $5 billion and broadening risk and advisory support for digital infrastructure projects from construction through long-term operation, according to Reinsurance News.

Aon said the program is designed around its “Reliable by Design” approach, which is intended to integrate insurance, engineering expertise, and risk intelligence from early project development to help clients manage transition risks and improve resilience across the asset lifecycle.

Under the expanded DCLP, clients can access up to $5 billion in Construction All Risks, Delay in Start-Up, Property Damage, and Business Interruption coverage, supported by a panel of A-rated insurers from Lloyd’s and company markets.

Aon also broadened liability, cyber, and project cargo offerings, including up to $200 million in third-party liability cover outside the United States, up to $100 million within the United States, up to $400 million in cyber and technology errors and omissions coverage, up to $500 million in project cargo cover, and up to $1 billion in terrorism insurance capacity via existing facilities, Insurance Business said.
