Bitcoin ETFs record $273 million in inflows after eight-week outflow streak
In the eight weeks prior, investors withdrew more than $8 billion from U.S.-listed spot bitcoin ETFs, so recent inflows are still small by comparison.
U.S.-listed spot bitcoin ETFs have returned to net inflows after an eight-week stretch of outflows, according to CoinDesk and SoSoValue data. The funds pulled in $273 million over the past two weeks, ending the streak in which outflows totaled more than $8 billion.
CoinDesk reports that inflows were $75.67 million in the week ended June 17, after $197.40 million in the preceding trading week. Analysts cited in the article said the shift may point to improving ETF flow dynamics, though they cautioned that the scale is still not large enough to confirm a sustained comeback in institutional demand.
Ecoinometrics, referenced by CoinDesk, characterized the flows as having moved into a healthier balance between inflows and outflows, with longer streaks of inflows beginning to reappear. The article notes that the latest inflow figures could still be too small to signal a structural change given the magnitude of prior selling.
CoinDesk adds that bitcoin prices have stabilized recently between $64,000 and $65,000, offering some indication of floor-building after the earlier selloff. Still, the report warns that the apparent ETF recovery may be statistical noise rather than a durable regime shift.
