Bitcoin holds near $83,800 as stocks rebound from Korea tech rout

Bitcoin remained near $83,800 at the US session open, after South Korea’s KOSPI Composite fell 7.4% over two days.

Cointelegraph reports Bitcoin held near its overnight gains around the US market open, with BTC/USD returning to roughly $83,800 at the start of Tuesday’s Wall Street session.

The move came as US equities attempted to shake off South Korea’s latest tech rout, after the Korea KOSPI Composite Index slid 7.4% over two days.

Cointelegraph adds that semiconductors led losses amid concerns about AI spending and competition from China, with both the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite opening lower before recovering.
