Daiwa House expands US homebuilding platform with Holiday Builders deal
Management said it is targeting about 10,000 U.S. single-family deliveries and roughly 100,000 controlled lots, despite elevated interest rates.
Daiwa House is acquiring Holiday Builders through its U.S. homebuilding unit Stanley Martin, a move the company frames as part of a decade-long plan to grow with regional operators and patient capital, HousingWire reports.
The acquisition adds another cycle-tested, regionally focused homebuilder to Daiwa House’s American portfolio, following Stanley Martin as an East Coast anchor, CastleRock Communities in Texas and beyond, and Trumark Companies across California and the western U.S.
Looking ahead, management reiterated that its medium-term goal remains approximately 10,000 U.S. single-family deliveries and about 100,000 controlled lots, while also saying it remains open to more deals.
The update also suggests Daiwa House is shifting from proving operating platforms in its first phase to strengthening them through local-learning-driven expansion in the next phase, according to HousingWire.
