Korra appoints Yisheng Bu as Chief Actuary
Bu joins from Sompo International, where he spent 13 years, and will support actuarial work for property and casualty ILS and collateralized reinsurance transactions.
Korra, the Ledger Investing SaaS platform focused on casualty insurance-linked securities, has appointed Yisheng Bu as its Chief Actuary.
Bu joins the firm from Sompo International, where he worked for 13 years, most recently as Vice President, Risk Analytics, after earlier roles at Torus Insurance, Aon, and Liberty Mutual Insurance.
Based in New York, Bu will provide actuarial support for transactions in the property and casualty ILS and collateralized reinsurance markets, supporting Korra’s growth and product innovation.
Korra said it connects insurers, managing general agents, reinsurers, and institutional investors through an integrated suite of applications and AI-driven workflows that support the full reinsurance lifecycle.
