Aztec has upgraded to V5 in alpha, aiming to expand the privacy features of decentralized execution on a decentralized Ethereum layer-2 network, The Block reports.

The upgrade adds a full private execution environment, with Aztec V5 focused on supporting client-side proving.

According to The Block, client-side proving is intended to let compute-heavy zero-knowledge (ZK) proofs run on simpler user devices, including phones and laptops.
