Bitcoin rises to a two-week high near $65,500 as ETF inflows return

U.S. spot bitcoin ETFs logged five straight days of inflows totaling more than $600 million, helping lift ether to around $1,922.

Bitcoin climbed to a two-week high near $65,500 on Tuesday, as a rebound in Asian semiconductor stocks helped drive a broader risk rally, according to CoinDesk. Ether and several major tokens also advanced alongside the move.

The gains were supported by institutional demand, with U.S. spot bitcoin ETFs drawing inflows for five straight sessions totaling more than $600 million, the strongest streak of buying since mid-July, CoinDesk reported. Traders pointed to the late-July Federal Reserve meeting as a key test for the rally, citing low but fair pricing, subdued spot volumes, and the possibility of further rate hikes.

CoinDesk said bitcoin was up about 1% on the day and 5% for the week, with roughly $33 billion changing hands. Ether outperformed, rising 3% to around $1,922, while XRP gained 3% to $1.13, Solana rose to $78, and BNB held around $574, with dogecoin flat.

In equities, CoinDesk linked the turnaround to MSCI’s Asia Pacific gauge rising 2%, driven by Samsung and Taiwan Semiconductor, and China’s tech-heavy measure jumping almost 7% as state-linked institutions stepped in. Oil also pulled back, with Brent down 1% to about $88.58 after Iran said mediators were circulating proposals to ease hostilities, including a reported 10-day strike halt suggestion.
