Grayscale files S-1 for first US Worldcoin ETF

The proposed Grayscale Worldcoin ETF would track the WLD ERC-20 token and, if approved, list on Nasdaq under the symbol GWLD.

Grayscale has filed an S-1 registration statement for what it says would be its first US ETF focused on Worldcoin, giving investors exposure to the WLD token via an exchange-traded product, according to Cointelegraph.

The preliminary prospectus indicates the Grayscale Worldcoin ETF is intended to list on the Nasdaq under the ticker symbol GWLD. BitGo Bank and Trust would custody Worldcoin (WLD), BNY Mellon would act as administrator and transfer agent, and CSC Delaware Trust Company would serve as trustee.

Cointelegraph reports the filing does not yet provide key ETF details such as management fees, seed investment, authorized participants, or liquidity providers.

Worldcoin uses biometric verification to distinguish humans from bots, and Cointelegraph notes WLD is an ERC-20 token built on the Ethereum blockchain. The proposed ETF would add to Grayscale’s lineup of 17 other crypto-related exchange-traded products, spanning assets including Bitcoin, XRP, Solana, Ether, Dogecoin, and Chainlink.
