Lemonade rolls out renters insurance in Nebraska

Coverage starts at $5 per month, with potential discounts for bundling, qualifying home safety devices, or paying annually.

Lemonade has launched renters insurance in Nebraska, expanding the product’s availability to renters across the state, the insurer said. Customers can use Lemonade’s app to get quotes, buy and update policies, and file claims.

The company says more than half of renters insurance claims are handled instantly, and that pricing starts at $5 per month. Lemonade also noted discounts may be available for customers who bundle policies, install qualifying home safety devices, or pay annually.

Separately, Lemonade is easing certain renters insurance eligibility requirements in Florida, including prior-loss restrictions, starting August 4, 2026 for new business and December 4, 2026 for renewals. The company also filed to introduce pet insurance in Idaho, effective November 18, 2026.

Lemonade’s expansion was supported by additional marketing channels, and the launch is framed as another growth capital source linked to customer acquisition economics rather than traditional equity financing.
