Monday Properties wins Arlington approval for Rosslyn mixed-use redevelopment
The 2.1-acre project will replace two 12-story, 1964 office buildings with two 27-story multifamily towers adding 831 residential units plus retail and parking.
Monday Properties said the Arlington County Board approved a major site plan amendment for 1401 Wilson Boulevard and 1400 Key Boulevard in Rosslyn, clearing the way for a mixed-use redevelopment.
The parcels total 2.1 acres and are currently occupied by two contiguous 12-story office buildings built in 1964, the company said.
Under the approved plan, the site will be redeveloped into a mixed-use destination with two 27-story multifamily residential towers totaling 831 units, along with 28,959 square feet of ground-floor retail that includes a community-anchoring grocery store and a partially above-grade parking structure.
ConnectCRE reported the approval, with Monday Properties CEO Tim Helmig saying the project will deliver 831 new residential units in a transit-rich area and build on the Westreich family’s legacy in Rosslyn since the late 1950s.
