World Insurance Associates names Rob Erfurt New Jersey market leader
Erfurt will oversee growth and operations in New Jersey, a top-cost auto insurance state where drivers are projected to pay about $249 a month in 2026.
World Insurance Associates LLC appointed Rob Erfurt as the firm’s New Jersey market leader and national industry leader, tasked with leading growth and operational execution in the New Jersey market while advancing the company’s industry practices and specialized risk solutions for clients. Erfurt brings more than 20 years of sales leadership experience, including the last decade at Acrisure, where he led sales operations for its North America retail business. Prior roles included consultancy work in risk management, HR and compliance, and business strategy and development, and he is based at World’s headquarters in Iselin, New Jersey. In comments cited by Insurance Business, World CEO John Newell said Erfurt’s combination of culture building, sales execution, and operational rigor will support the firm’s next phase of growth, pointing to investments in innovation and digital capabilities as the industry evolves. The appointment comes as New Jersey remains a highly expensive auto insurance market, with drivers projected to pay about $249 per month in 2026, and with the state home to many independent agencies. Insurance Business also notes that independent agencies wrote 61.5% of all US property and casualty premiums in 2024, according to the Big I’s 2025 Market Share Report, and that New Jersey’s concentration of family-run agencies without succession plans makes it a target for acquisition-led platforms like World.
